1. IS AIRFARE INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THE TRIP?

No, airfare is NOT included.

2. HOW DO I ARRANGE FOR A SINGLE ROOM?

The price of the trip is based on double occupancy. Depending on the trip there may be single rooms available for an additional charge

(the number of single accommodations varies accordingly).

3. CANCELLATIONS

All route cancellations must be made in writing to Kitchen Routes LLC and are effective upon receipt.  Deposits and trip fees are non-refundable.  If there is a waiting list for participants we can, per your request, put you in contact with the first person on the list. If the person accepts, you may sell your place on the trip to said persons. When the transaction is complete and both parties are satisfied, your place on the trip will be transferred to the other person.

If there is not a waiting list you may transfer your paid fees to another trip scheduled within 12 months of the date of your cancellation, provided there is a trip scheduled by Kitchen Routes and there is not a waiting list.  A $100 administration fee applies.

4. A RELEASE AND/OR WAIVER

Waivers are required which release Kitchen Routes LLC from any and all liability related to the tour.  It is part of your registration. Registration not is considered final until reading and agreeing to the terms.

5. DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We strongly encourage the purchase of travel insurance. This is useful for inconveniences like baggage delays, trip cancellation, or a more serious matter like a medical emergency.  There are many insurance agencies. Your travel agent or AAA can give you recommendations.

6. DO I NEED A PASSPORT AND/OR VISA?

For international travel a passport is required. Please note that many countries will not allow  you to visit if six months or less remain until your passport expires. Kitchen Routes recommends you have a minimum of three blank pages. Extra pages can be ordered.

In most cases you will not require a visa. If one is necessary you will acquire it at your own cost, unless otherwise stated, before the trip begins. Please allow time and plan accordingly.  From time to time there may be a fee you must pay entering the country at the airport for which you are responsible.

7. WILL MY CELL PHONE WORK?

Cellular connectivity varies with location of the trip. Foreign charges will apply. Your carrier can tell you what international packages they offer. It is wise to place your phone on "airplane mode" during the trip to prevent large data charges. In airplane mode your phone will connect to WiFi but you cannot make voice calls or receive SMS text messages.

8. WILL MY CREDIT CARD WORK?

Visa and Mastercard are the most widely accepted and must be signed. Your card may charge a foreign transaction fee, although many bank cards do not. We suggest placing a travel alert on credit and debit cards before departure.

9. HOW MUCH MONEY SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Each person's needs are different. Sometimes you will need money for transportation to and from the airport, depending upon the trip. Alcohol, tips, market purchases, personal snacks and beverages, souvenirs, medical expenses and medicine will be part of your budget.  Commercial banks can order foreign currency for you as can AAA.

10. ARE COVID 19 VACCINATIONS REQUIRED?

Participants are required to be fully vaccinated in order to travel with us.
